Limeworks Granary is a one-bedroom countryside retreat in the heart of Northumberland.

Situated between the beautiful Northumberland coastline & the Cheviot hills, the Granary is the perfect place to explore the area, whether walking, climbing, birdwatching or simply enjoying a break from the hustle and bustle.

We're 10 minutes from Belford, Wooler & Chatton, 20 minutes to Bamburgh & Holy Island, & 25 minutes to Berwick Upon Tweed, where it's a short train journey to Edinburgh or Newcastle.

DOWNSTAIRS: The living area of the granary has a log burner (with logs), comfy sofa & love seat, perfect for a lazy day reading by the fire or relaxing after a long walk in the Northumberland countryside.

The well-equipped kitchen features an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, with access to washing machine and tumble dryer in a separate building.

SHOWER ROOM: Downstairs there is a bathroom featuring a walk in shower.

UPSTAIRS: The Granary has one spacious bedroom, complete with walk in wardrobe, reading chair, dressing table, full length mirror & en suite bathroom.

The large en-suite bathroom has a luxurious bath & overhead shower, with underfloor heating.

BABIES & CHILDREN: The bedroom is more than big enough for a travel cot, which we can provide with sheets, as well as a high chair on request. The cottage comes complete with childrens plates, bowls, cups & cutlery. We have our own 4 year old - so if you need anything extra during your stay, we're sure to be able to help you out!

OUTSIDE: A table and chairs on the private patio, accessed via bifold doors overlooks the large pond. A small private garden is accessible to guests, along with shared access to 5-acres of woodland and 6-acres of paddock (which is a beautiful wildflower meadow in Spring & Summer). The property has it's own BBQ and shared access to an oudoor pizza oven.

PETS: One well behaved dogs is welcome at The Granary. We request that dogs are kept on the ground floor, and not in the bedroom. Dog wash (with warm water tap) and dog towels provided. We have a dog of our own (Hamish) who will be around the property during your stay.

OUR ANIMALS: We have 3 goats & 4 chickens that live in the woods. They goats are very friendly and you can stroke and feed them (just make sure to wash your hands afterwards) - they roam free, although they have collars that stop them from getting too far!

The chickens are in a run, and we ask that you don’t open the door to the run or go in. When we have eggs available, we will let you know!

WIFI: Fast broadband is available at the property.

GETTING HERE: We will send you a Maps pin & What 3 Words prior to your stay to ensure you can find us easily. If you're travelling to the North East via train, Enterprise Car Club is available from Berwick Upon Tweed station.

BOOKING: There is a minimum 3 night stay, and check in is available on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

We also have a second property Limeworks Hemmel, which is a 2 bedroom modern house. You can view the Hemmel through Katie's profile.

The property is accessed through a private entrance.

OUTDOORS: A small private garden is accessible to guests, along with shared access to 5-acres of woodland and 6-acres of paddock (which is a beautiful wildflower meadow in Spring & Summer). Guests also have shared use of outdoor seating areas with fire pits and our wood shed, which includes a pizza oven, ceramic bbq and covered seating area. 

We live on site, in a separate farmhouse, and work from home most of the time so will be around as much (or as little!) as you need us during your stay, and are more happy to provide information on the local area, walking & cycling routes, as well as recommendations for places to visit & eat.

We also have a second property Limeworks Hemmel, which is a 2 bedroom modern house.
