Making a positive impact.

We/'re dedicated to making a positive impact on the land and the environment. Since 2019, we’ve taken a variety of steps to enhance the natural beauty of the area and support local wildlife:

• Planted over 200 trees
• Re-established hedgerows
• Introduced a 5-acre wildflower meadow
• Installed bat boxes
• Regenerated the pond habitat
• Installed sparrow terraces
• Drilled a 45m borehole to provide our own clean spring water (filtered onsite)
• Created an owl roost
• Conducted numerous ecological surveys to understand our wildlife and impact
• Installed eco-friendly air source heat pump (ASHP) heating systems in our holiday properties
• Super-insulated our new build property
• Used local labour for renovation and construction
• Harvested wood from windfalls, processing all our own logs

And we’re not stopping there. Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, we plan to:

• Introduce pigs to help manage and rejuvenate undergrowth in woodland areas
• Plant a reed bed in the pond to maintain clean water for cold water swimming
• Install solar panels and battery storage to offset our energy usage
• Continue planting more trees and hedges

Our commitment to sustainability and the environment is ongoing, and we’re excited to see how we can continue to improve and protect this special place.
